Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I was hoping I could avoid talking about myself by sharing some pictures of my favourite things with a fun mouse-over effect to distract you. But I guess I still need to introduce myself. So here it goes...
I'm Jacintha, originally from the Netherlands, and the words most often used to describe me are tall and blond. So as much as I try to blend in with the locals when I travel, I never do.
But that hasn't stopped me. There's nothing I love more than traveling the world with my camera. And then sharing my photos, experiences and tips with you guys. Which is why I started Urban Pixxels in 2013.
I had just moved from the Netherlands to London so it started as a blog about 'my new London life', but it soon became all about travel and photography. And sometimes just some random thoughts.
Since then amazing things have happened. My photos are being used in magazines like Condé Nast Traveler, I've co-written a '48 hours in London' travel guide for National Geographic, and have been listed several times as one of the best travel accounts to follow on Instagram. Pretty cool!
And now I'm off on a next big adventure: I'm taking a four-month sabbatical to travel and blog full-time. So stay tuned!
Urban Pixxels is all about travel inspiration and information for the traveler who wants to explore the most interesting destinations in the world; prefers design boutique hotels over hostels; likes travel photos and videos more than reading about it; is always looking for the hidden gems; and believes that exploring the local food culture is just as important as sightseeing.
I love working with brands and advertisers that are a good fit and relevant for the readers of Urban Pixxels. My content is always self-created which is why I don't accept guest posts. But I do offer sponsored posts or other forms of partnerships when I feel there's a good match. Please get in touch to discuss how we can work together.
